The goal of this project is to connect children and families with nature. Bringing nature activities to the park will make it easier and more convenient for children and families to learn about our natural resources. This is a way to purposefully create opportunities for children to engage with nature.

The child engaging and exploring in nature truly may be an endangered species. Children are spending an increasing amount of time in front of screens and have been disconnecting from nature for the last several years.

The average screen time is astounding, between 5-9 hrs a day. Having interactive nature activities ready for children and families to engage in, is a way to bridge the gap that technology and our fast-paced society have created.

Examples of Topics include:
The Buzz on Bees
